Cyberpunk 2077 fans are divided over a surprising revelation:CD Projekt Red CEOand co-founderMarcin Iwinski has formally become a billionaire, well in advance of the hotly-anticipated launch of Cyberpunk 2077 .

This means that his stock holdings in the company are now valued at $1.05 billion (4.40 billion zł), officially making him a billionaire and one of the richest people in Poland.

The reaction to Iwinski's success has been mixed to say the least. Some are praising Marcin Iwinski for rising up from humbled beginnings and working hard for complete 20 years. Others, however, are teasing fans of a cyberpunk game celebrating a billionaire, highlight the irony of their congratulations as the loaded are often viewed as villains in cyberpunk fiction, with wealth inequality being a major theme that runs throughout the genre.
